Now is the time to start getting ready for the long winter ahead.  Most chores are easier to get done while it’s still warm outside.
Remove window air conditioners or put weather proof covers over them.
Clean out smelly garbage cans.
Check your windows and siding for any holes or leaks and repair.
Install new air filter in your heating unit and have it inspected by a professional at least every two years.
If you have battery back up for your sump pump, make sure that it is fully charged.
